Susan Binder, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. She earned her medical degree with honors in dermatology from New York University School of Medicine, following her undergraduate studies at NYU. Dr. Binder completed her internship at Yale University and her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate after training in medical residency at Yale–New Haven Hospital.
Dr. Binder comes from a family of physicians spanning four generations. She is on the faculty at both Mount Sinai Hospital and Columbia University–New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she has been teaching medical and cosmetic dermatology for over 15 years, mentoring residents in both disciplines.
Recognized for her expertise, Dr. Binder has been named one of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors in New York for consecutive years (2017–2025), and 2025 Exceptional Women in Medicine, making her one of the best dermatologists New York has to offer. She has also contributed to InStyle magazine for over a decade, sharing her knowledge on dermatology and cosmetic procedures.
